View customer details

The customer details page provides a friendly and detailed look at each individual customer. Here, you can find their contact information, order history, and financial insights neatly organized for your convenience. Just follow these simple steps to explore and make sense of the information available on this page:

Accessing the customer details page

  1. From the Customer list page, locate the customer whose details you want to view.

  2. Click on the row to open the Customer details page.

Understanding the customer details layout

Customer summary section

At the top of the page, you’ll see an overview of the customer’s key statistics:

  • Order count: The total number of orders this customer has placed.

  • Average order value: The average dollar amount per order.

  • Customer lifetime value: The total revenue generated by the customer across all orders.

Customer contact information

Below the summary, you’ll find:

  • Email: The customer’s email address. Clicking this will open your default email client.

  • Phone: The customer’s phone number (if available).

  • Shipping address: The most recent shipping address used by the customer.

Order history table

A table displays the customer’s order history, including:

  • Store ID: The identifier for the store associated with the order.

  • Order date: The date the order was placed.

  • Order amount: The total value of the order.

  • Order status: The current status of the order (e.g., Draft, In Transit).

  • Actions:

    • View order details: Click the row to see more information about the order.

    • Download order: Click the Download icon to download order details.

Pagination

If the customer has many orders, you can navigate through the pages of the order list using the Previous and Next buttons at the bottom.

Key actions on the customer details page

  • View order status: Quickly see the status of all the customer’s orders in the table.

  • Access order details: Use the View icon to drill into the specifics of an order, including line items and shipping updates.

  • Download orders: Use the Download icon to export the details of a specific order.

Tips for using the customer details page

  • Data accuracy: Ensure the customer’s contact information is up to date for accurate communication and order fulfillment.

  • Follow up on order issues: Use the order history table to identify and resolve any customer service issues, such as orders stuck in transit or incomplete orders.

  • Identify high-value customers: Use the Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) and Average Order Value (AOV) metrics to prioritize and personalize engagement with your top customers.

This page is your central hub for managing and reviewing individual customer relationships effectively. Regularly review this data to provide exceptional service and build stronger connections with your customers.
