The orders report tab in the Mash Commerce Cloud™ offers a wonderful breakdown of all fulfilled orders during the reporting period. This report is super helpful for keeping tabs on order activity, understanding your revenue, and evaluating how each product is performing. It captures all the important order-level details along with item-level metrics, making it an invaluable resource for managing your distillery’s operations with ease.

Purpose of the orders report

This report focuses on orders fulfilled during the reporting period, regardless of when the sale occurred. By analyzing this data, distilleries can:

  • Track fulfillment performance.

  • Review order-level revenue and expenses.

  • Understand the impact of discounts and promotions on sales.

  • Monitor product-level details, including pricing, fees, and quantities.

Key metrics in the report

Order-level details

Order number

  • Definition: A unique identifier for each order.

  • Use case: Enables tracking of individual orders for further analysis or reconciliation.

Financial status

  • Definition: Indicates the payment status of the order (e.g., "paid").

  • Use case: Helps confirm that the order has been successfully processed financially.

Date of sale

  • Definition: The date when the order was originally placed by the customer.

  • Use case: Provides insight into sales trends and helps track when orders were generated.

Fulfillment status

  • Definition: Indicates whether the order has been fulfilled (e.g., "fulfilled").

  • Use case: Tracks order fulfillment progress, ensuring that all paid orders are delivered.

Fulfillment date

  • Definition: The date the order was fulfilled and shipped to the customer.

  • Use case: Helps monitor fulfillment timelines and operational efficiency.

Store name

  • Definition: The name of the store associated with the order.

  • Use case: Identifies which store or location generated the order, useful for multi-store distilleries.

Discount

  • Definition: The total value of coupons or discounts applied to the order.

Service fees

  • Definition: Fees associated with the order, such as credit card processing fees.

  • Use case: Helps distilleries understand the costs charged to the end consumer for transaction processing.

Subtotal

  • Definition: The total order value before shipping or taxes.

  • Use case: Provides a clear view of revenue generated from product sales.

Shipping

  • Definition: The cost of shipping for the order.

  • Use Case: Tracks fulfillment-related costs and ensures transparency in shipping expenses.

Tax

  • Definition: The amount of tax collected for the order.

  • Use case: Helps ensure compliance with tax reporting requirements.

Order Total

  • Definition: The final amount paid by the customer after all adjustments (discounts, shipping, taxes).

  • Use case: Tracks the actual cost of the order.

Quantity

  • Definition: The total number of products included in the order.

  • Use case: Provides insight into the order size and fulfillment volume.

Product-Level Details

For each product in an order, the following metrics are tracked:

  • Product name: Name of the product sold.

  • Product SKU: Unique identifier for the product.

  • Final price: The price of the product after any discounts or adjustments.

  • Product service fee: Any fees associated with selling the product (e.g., platform fees).

  • MSRP: Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price of the product.

    • Use the product-level data (e.g., Final Price, MSRP) to assess which products are driving sales and revenue.

    • Analyze the Shipping column to ensure fulfillment costs are in line with expectations.
